Elder Garcia’s Missionary Adventures

22 MAR 2021 This was my busiest and funniest week since I have been on my mission. In my Trio companionship we received another Ward along with our new companion since my first companion went to Brazil. So me and Elder Evans’ new companion Elder Horstmann have been getting soo much work done and get along really well. Our personalities clicked and we have been having a blast. Horstmann is an outstanding missionary and super diligent and funny. We have no downtime and haven't been able to meet with members this week. One of the non members we are working with has been making serious progress and we are preparing him for his baptismal date. We are super excited for him and he has a strong testimony. So just some insight for my companions, one of them is a hardworker and funny and fun. The other is funny and fun but frankly a slob and a goof. And annoying at times but I love the guy. 08 MAR 2021 This week went well, we are getting more adjusted to the three of us living together and teaching together. We had some awesome lessons this week and making great progress with our investigators. So I went on an exchange and we had to ride bikes and yo it is hot. Im missing the cold California beach and perfect weather. One of the members said it was 128 degrees last summer and 105 at night time. So that blows. And its not like it will be any better in Brazil its going to be hot and humid there. So either way I’m gonna die, so keep me in your prayers.  With our new companion things are going good I need to keep him in check otherwise he gets carried away, I will punch him or mess with him throughout the day if he doesn’t focus. Its ok he can handle it. But we actually do have a good time and have taught great lessons. So funny thing that happened at our roommates ward. They are trying to baptize this 80+ guy right?  01 MAR 2021 This week was very eventful, so after the transfers, me and my companion got another companion named Elder Evans so we are now in a Trio! Not a threesome, its weird when people say that. Anyways, he is from Salt Lake City Utah. And this week has been going really well so far, he is very funny and outgoing and we have gotten a long very well. He is actually very wild and his grandpa is in the 70 and he has take pictures with the prophet a few times. Crazy right? He plays the guitar and also played football. We have been doing a lot of service, mostly picking citrus. Our roommate is now training a new guy as well so there are now 5 of us in this small apartment. It is very cozy one might say. OMG are you ready for this you guys. Ok so picture this please its   10:38   everyone is already in bed, I was in bed to but wanted to get some water.  23 FEB 2021 So today is the last day of the transfer, and tomorrow me and my companion are getting another companion. We will be in a trio! Theres mixed feelings about this but I am actually excited about this, one of the reasons is being my trainer was getting a bit lazy so I feel with another companion he will have to be more active and productive. I have been doing well and learning a lot on my own just by being out here. We will see how that goes, all of us bunking in a room haha.  We also share an apartment with another companionship! Elder Francis was really cool and will be leaving, life of a missionary. And Elder Nielsen will be training a greenie, more new than me! So we will see how that goes as well. They also have a bigger room and we told them we had to be in there because there are 3 of us and I’m huge and that being in the smaller room just wouldn’t work!
